I know from my Sparkpeople nutritional tracker that fruit and veggies are lower in calories but filling and will help me eat less calories while at work when munchies hit, so I keep at least 3 types of fruit on my desk right in front of me so when even a twinge of hunger hits, in my laziness I will grab what's in front of me (and it will be good for me!)
