1) First have a big plate of lettuce and other veggies--no dressing on this first plate (or seeds, bacon bits, eggs...). Nothing but raw veggies.
2) Next have a plate of cooked veggies. Aim for half cup servings of 3 or 4 veggies--carrots, green beans, cabbage, etc.
3) Now you can eat a small amount of your favorites. You'll be pretty full by then and able to control your portions!
