When I have those days that I just can't seem to resist muching, especially at night, I try to pay attention to whether my stomach has actually growled or if I just feel empty and want something to eat. If my stomach growls, then I get a glass of water to distract me while I decide what I can have and should have. If I slow down and make a conscious decision, then I can make better choices. If I just feel empty, then I drink some water and then go find something to do.
