Dip rather than pour
When I go out to eat I always ask for them to put the dressing on the side. That way I can dip my lettuce into it and control how much I use. I don't like to pour it over either because I always seem to never need as much as I poured on, and thus have added a lot more calories than I needed. The only time I pour dressing over my salad is at home, after I've measured it.
Porton control
When I first started Spark, I bought one of those plates that are partitioned into three sections, two small and one large. It helped me to put protein and starch in the two smaller ones and veggines/fruit in the larger one. It made the plate look really full and kept things in proportion.

Lower Calories in Pizza
I love pizza, so every now and then I splurge and order pizza. I always blot the excess grease off the top of my pizza. It lowers the fat intake and I've read it can lower the calories any where from 20-100! However, if you're really strict with your calories, ask for them to go easy on the cheese, load up on veggies, and always opt for thin crust.

Cravings
My biggest craving in the summer is Root Beer Floats. To satisfy it I take a 3 oz bathroom cup and put about 1 oz Ice cream and 2 oz Root Beer and have it about once a week. Very little cal and carb and i satisfy my craving

Bad Eating
I ate far from healthy tonight. Tonight I had no willpower and ate almost everything I saw and wanted. Back to business tomorrow. Weigh-in on Monday and need to do some serious damage control by then.

Prep fresh ingredients for easy healthy snacks
When I come home from the grocery store I immediately prep all my fruits so that I can have them for healthy snacks and smoothies (melon, strawberries, mangos, etc.). I will cut up all fruits that won't oxidize...even oranges...because sometimes the effort to peel an orange seems too much on a busy day. I put them in both big bowls and 8-oz bowls to take to work. Prep like this helps me save money too because I don't waste half-eaten produce, like melons.

Great Breakfast cereal
If you are lucky enough to have a Wegman's supermarket near you check out their "Food You Feel Good About." One that I just discovered for breakfast is "Sunrise Blend with Quinoa Flakes" a delicious cereal you can either add to yogurt for a grab&go breakfast or cook for a great hot cereal. 4g of fiber and 7g of protein per serving- keeps you full all morning 481
